The Portuguese Association of Insolvency and Recovery Law (APDIR)<\/strong><\/a> has elected its governing bodies for the 2025\u20132028 term, with lawyer Paulo Val\u00e9rio<\/a><\/strong>, founding partner and Managing Partner of VFA, reappointed as Executive Director.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under Paulo Val\u00e9rio’s leadership, the remaining members of the Board include Ana Filipa Concei\u00e7\u00e3o<\/a><\/strong>, University Professor, and Ricardo Silva Pereira<\/a><\/strong>, lawyer and Senior Consultant at PLMJ, who moves from the presidency of the General Assembly to serve as board member.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The General Assembly of APDIR will now be chaired by Francisco Seco Oliveira<\/strong>, Insolvency Administrator, supported by Micaela Afonso<\/a><\/strong> (lawyer and partner at Abreu) and Joana Granjo Pimenta<\/strong> (lawyer at Forjaz Advogados), who will serve as board members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Fiscal Council, leadership is now entrusted to \u00c2ngelo Dias<\/a><\/strong>, Insolvency Administrator, with active participation from two VFA partners: B\u00e1rbara Figueiredo<\/a><\/strong> and Jo\u00e3o Mota da Costa<\/a><\/strong>, who take on roles as board members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Paulo Val\u00e9rio, this re-election marks the beginning of a new chapter:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cAPDIR is entering a new cycle. After the foundation and consolidation phases, we are now entering a development phase, defined by a new strategic direction that seeks to position APDIR as a hub for education and training with a Lusophone vocation \u2014 bringing together professionals from across Portuguese-speaking countries, particularly Angola, Mozambique, Cape Verde, and Brazil.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Strengthening ties with INSOL International<\/a><\/strong> and consolidating the partnership with INSOL Europe<\/a> are also among the priorities for this new term.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

APDIR is a non-profit association created to foster participation among professionals working in the field of insolvency and recovery, particularly from legal and management backgrounds \u2014 including lawyers, economists, judges, accountants, insolvency administrators, and university professors.
