{"id":990,"date":"2024-02-20T13:36:05","date_gmt":"2024-02-20T13:36:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.vf-advogados.pt\/?p=990"},"modified":"2024-05-22T13:42:48","modified_gmt":"2024-05-22T12:42:48","slug":"paulo-valerio-at-the-justice-in-the-2024-elections-event-hosted-by-iuris","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vf-advogados.pt\/en\/media\/paulo-valerio-at-the-justice-in-the-2024-elections-event-hosted-by-iuris\/","title":{"rendered":"Paulo Val\u00e9rio at the &#8220;Justice in the 2024 Elections&#8221; event, hosted by IURIS"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>VFA partner Paulo Val\u00e9rio was invited to participate in the &#8220;Justice in the 2024 Elections&#8221; event, organized by IURIS &#8211; Interdisciplinary Research Institute of the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon (FDUL).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This meeting was dedicated to discussing the justice-related proposals in the electoral programs of the two main political forces, the Socialist Party (PS) and the Social Democrat Party (Partido Social Democrata &#8211; PSD; in this electoral act leading the AD &#8211; Alian\u00e7a Democr\u00e1tica [Democratic Alliance] &#8211; coalition with CDS and PPM), for the 2024 Legislative Elections. These proposals were detailed at the event by Alexandra Leit\u00e3o and Raquel Br\u00edzida Castro, representing PS and PSD (AD), respectively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In a panel that also included Joana Marques Vidal, Attorney General of the Republic from 2012 to 2018, and the President of the Portuguese Judges&#8217; Trade Union, Judge Manuel Ramos Soares, Paulo Val\u00e9rio was asked to analyze the justice-related proposals of the two main political forces competing in the March 10 elections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;From examining both programs,&#8221; noted the VFA partner, &#8220;it is evident that both parties have structured thinking in the field of justice &#8211; which is not a highly ideological area &#8211; and, therefore, there are also important points of convergence;
